Palm Sunday
The quarantine is still going on. I am not what day of isolation it is here in Ecuador. I am guessing Day 18...right or wrong. It's all a blur. Today is Palm Sunday. I watched a Catholic Mass online at my mother's church which is based in Los Angeles, California (St. Agatha). It was a very nice church service. Also, I hosted a Watch Party in my Facebook Group, Shake Your Booty! People popped in and out but I still had a great time dancing for one hour straight. Randy, Kobe, and I had a nice breakfast of eggs, bacon, and potatoes. I added fruit and vegetables to my breakfast. Kobe made his famous Chocolate Chip Cookie Brownies like he does every week.
During this quarantine, I still take lots of pictures. Photography is one thing I love doing. Taking pictures of people and scenery. Our yard has lots of beautiful scenery. Kobe and I are still taking Japanese classes online with Live Lingua. Kobe takes the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) course three days a week for one hour. I take the Standard (Conversational) Japan course two days a week for one hour. Our online Teacher, Takashi Shicauchi (Taka) is awesome!
To keep from getting bored, I dance, Randy plays with our four dogs, and Kobe takes a walk before the curfew begins. Curfew is from 2 pm to 5 am every day. There is no Daylight Saving Time here in Ecuador. After the quarantine is lifted, we are going to Manglaralto (Montañita) for four nights and stay at Balsa House Hostel. We are hoping the quarantine will be lifted by Friday, May 1st. The Guayas Province has closed its borders. We are in Azuay Province. The Guayas Province does have deaths but it's not as many as they report on the news and many of the deaths are not from the Coronavirus.
It is difficult to remember what day and even what time it is but I manage to do so thanks to Google Search. Keeping busy keeps us from eating out of boredom. Kobe is not able to get his hair cut so I help him brush and comb his hair once a day. Also, I put moisturizing oil in his hair every three days. His hair looks great and he has beautiful black curls. Everyone stay safe and sane.
Kobe (age 18) is at his computer (Windows 10). He not only plays games but he learns a lot on the Internet. He won't be able to earn his GED until later this year because of the Coronavirus and being quarantined.
We do our best to make sure our pond is clean and has freshwater. It comes with a waterfall.
I just love the nature we have on our five acres of property. The ivy looks so beautiful. FOILAGE effect
Yes, a selfie...even on Palm Sunday. I love using nature as my background. It was late afternoon and it was about to rain.
The sky is cloudy. It is about to rain. I love the way the plants and trees appear to touch the sky.
Our house and the Paute River in the background. I took this picture when Randy and I were going back into the house after feeding our two chickens and one rooster. The chickens laid two eggs. The rain has just begun.
Randy is here with three out of four of our dogs (Left to Right): Cookie (girl), Lucy (girl), Lucky (Boy). Micaiah (girl) is in our backyard. Lockdown Picture (Day 18, I think.): It's a dog's life, after all! Randy and I (sometimes Kobe) take a Lockdown Picture every day...usually with my Smartphone camera.
My breakfast. Scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese, fried potatoes, avocado, carrots (uncooked), orange, and bacon. Randy cooked the scrambled eggs with cheese and the fried potatoes.
Grilled Cheese, Beef Hamburger Patty, and Scrambled Egg, Sandwich, Chinese Pea Pods (Snow Peas), Creamy Tomato Soup; The tomato soup is made from scratch using my small Instant Pot. Instant Pots are not available in Ecuador. Crock Pots are available in Ecuador.
