Home Improvement
This week has been uneventful but wonderful. Randy went to the bank in Paute and bought fresh produce at the farmers market. Everything went smoothly for him. I went to Supermaxi (Don Bosco) to buy groceries. The usual masks, industrial-strength rubbing alcohol spray, body temperature check, and social distancing. Buying groceries went smoothly. Rodrigo Saca took both us but on different days. He took me to the grocery store on Tuesday, June 9th, and Randy to run his errands on Friday, June 12th. We are spending a lot of time at home.
The entrance to our house is getting a makeover. Flowers are being planted. We have an arch over our entrance. When it is done, it will look really good. The scenic spots along our driveway are beautiful and peaceful. An additional trail will be built along our driveway. Our backyard garden is coming along. It is so beautiful I walk on all of the paved trails almost daily. Our four dogs also love the trails. We exercise our brains as well as our bodies.
Now Kobe is learning how to code on the Codeacademy website just like me. He and I are learning the Python program. The course I am taking is to Analyze Financial Data With Python. This course is related to Data Science. Kobe is learning the Python Program. Randy is not learning about any computer programs but he is keeping us informed about what is going on in the world. A lot of what is going on in the world is not good. May things get better...especially travel. Kobe and I are still learning Japanese. We are hoping to travel to Japan this September since we are learning more Japanese every week. I still create 'Real Food Real People' podcasts every week. We are living life to the fullest here at home.
Jaime Tamay (Maestro) and Alexander Parra (Alex) are creating an arch for the entrance to our house.
This is the entrance to our house. The entrance walls are beautifully painted black and white. It is becoming more inviting all of the time.
This is our scenic spot along the driveway. Succulent plants are being planted. There will be chairs and a table so we can view the river.
This is another part of our driveway. Trees and flowers are being planted. The present walking trail will be extended all the way to the road.
These are the flowers along the entrance. It makes everything much more colorful.
This is a close-up of the colorful flowers. The flowers will blossom even more and make our entrance beautiful and colorful.
The flowers have been planted along the driveway. It makes walking and driving up the driveway pleasant.
This is one of our two scenic spots along the driveway. Many of the plants are succulents.
Randy, (electric guitar), Peter Mercer (drums), and Andrew Coonce (Andy) (acoustic guitar) are starting a band...and social distancing.
Selfie of the week. I go out of my way to be outside as much as possible. Also, I enjoy my low maintenance locs. Kobe didn't feel like being photographed this week.
This is one of our many paved trails. Cookie (girl) is peeking from the bushes on the left-hand side.
