Borders

Every day I have been checking the Kayak website.  This website shows the status of air travel in each country in the world.  To find the website, type "Kayak Travel Restrictions" in your search engine.  The borders of many countries need to open sometime.  Economies around the world are collapsing.  Tourism is what keeps many countries economically strong.  I am missing the freedom to travel where and when I would like.  It's to the point where people will have to choose which country they would like to be stuck.  The saddest part is we are approaching a world where we may never see many of our families and friends in person ever again.  With so much negativity in the world, our place has positive vibes.

We are making many positive changes to our property.  More plants (food-bearing and ornamental) are being planted on our property.  The Indigenous House on our property will be torn down in the near future and replaced with our new house.  Our present house can be converted into a bed and breakfast.  Trails continue to be built on our property.  We have a new rooster.  The chicken coop will be remodeled.  It's becoming more of a paradise every day.  We don't go out as much as we used to.  Going out is not as much fun when human contact is limited.  Now the fine for not wearing a mask is $300US. Curfew:  Monday-Thursday (9 pm to 5 am); Friday-Sunday (7pm to 5 am).  Life is good at home...no curfew on our own property and surrounded by nature.

This is the Indigenous House that will be torn down and replaced by our new house.  Pictures of the house will help us to never forget this house.

What I enjoy every morning are the low clouds over the hills.  This is a heavenly sight to see daily.

Now that some of the trees have been cut down, we can see more of our house.  Our bedroom balcony is on the right.

I love the way our blue house stands out.  This is the view from our hot tub area.  The dying trees were cut down.  Now we can see more of our house.

The gardener is burning old plants to make room for new plants.  Smoke from the plants is a nice effect on our house.

Terraces are being built.  It is nice to have more places to walk up and down next to our driveway.

Here is another paved trail so we can walk safely along our driveway.  No more worrying about blind spots when vehicles drive up our driveway.

This is our brand new young rooster.  He will do a great job of making sure our five chickens (hens) lay eggs.

Heeere's LUCY!  This picture of her has a COLOR ACCENT effect.   She is very loyal to us and she protects us.

This is the hillside across from us (Gualaceo Canton).  We are in the Paute Canton.  The Paute River separates the two Cantons.  COLOR SWAP effect

These are our five chickens (hens).  The black hens are the young hens.  They love to eat fresh produce.

We have at least three springs on our property.  This spring does not supply water to our house.  FOILAGE effect

Randy and I went on a hike on our property.  This is the picture I took of our house and the Paute River from one of our many trails.

We are living a very nice life here in Ecuador.  Our property shields us from the harsh realities of the world today.
