I have visited the Remigio Crespo Toral Museum in Cuenca, Ecuador.  It is on Calle Larga near Presidente Borrero.  Admission is free and there is so much interesting information even if everything is in Spanish.  The museum is open everyday but Monday.

Randy and I visited a community above Cuenca known as Checa-Corpanche.  It is very green and pretty up in the hills.  Randy says he feels at home there.  This is understandable since there is so much nature yet close to the city.  The best of both worlds.  Someplace we could be living in the future.

We also saw a great musical group at Wunderground Cafe in Cuenca called Johnnie and the Family.  Their music is upbeat and enjoyable.  A group worth seeing.

A friend of mine who Belly Dances like me, Maria de Lourdes Cedillo and her nineteen year old daughter, Alison Gonzalez, took me to the Archery field in Cuenca.  It was nice watching shoot with fancy bows and arrows.  I learned that pulling a traditional bow is difficult and tiring. Meeting the coach and other team members was enjoyable.

We even visited a Mexican restaurant in Cuenca with our Spanish teacher, Patricia Olivo (Pachi).  The food was very good.

Another community above Cuenca we visited was Baguanchi.  It is nice but not as pretty as Checa-Corpanche.  Lots of hills which was really good exercise.

On some Sundays I do meet up with a drumming group in Cuenca at El Parque De La Madre.  It nice to play a drum outside and have people appreciate it...especially Law Enforcement.

With Pachi, we visited a restaurant in Cuenca popular with Expats called Goza.  Good food but not cheap food.  Thanks to Pachi, we (Randy, Kobe, and me) are now in the Ecuadorian Health Care System (IESS):  INSTITUTO ECUATORIANO DE SEGURIDAD SOCIAL.  For all three of us, it's $80.00 per month.

Even though St. Patrick's Day is not celebrated in many parts of Ecuador, Randy, Kobe, and I wore green.

Much of this time, Kobe has been on his computer and going to Spanish class.

As time goes on, we are integrating more and more into Ecuadorian society.
