Import Taxes

There were protests in Cuenca.  It was about the rise in Import taxes and the rights of Ecuadorian workers.  Despite the protests down Calle Simon Bolivar in El Centro (Downtown), it was peaceful.

A female taxi driver refused to give me a ride.  This was on Huayana Capac and La Republic near Parque San Blas.  The theories range from racism to just plan busy.  I doubt she was busy..

On a positive note, Kobe's 13th birthday was Thursday, March 19, 2015.  He is officially a teenager and does not want a Facebook account.  His 13th and last official birthday party is this Saturday, March 21st at Mall Del Rio in Cuenca (bowling).  Beginning next year, his birthdays will be celebrated by doing something special for him.

Since it takes so long to upload and caption one photo at a time, I am now uploading many photos at once and caption everything in one sentence or paragraph.
