The Quarantine Continues
Randy, Kobe, and I are still under quarantine on this Sunday, March 22, 2020. Our trip to Manglaralto (Montañita), Guayas, Ecuador (the coast-Pacific Ocean) has been postponed until this travel ban is lifted. What keeps us sane is that we have 5 acres of land with many trees and plants.
Randy and I had steak and eggs for breakfast. Kobe had eggs and bacon for breakfast. Randy and I have fun taking quarantine pictures every day. Once in a while, Kobe will participate. Tonight, Kobe made the dough for our weekly Chocolate Chip Cookie Brownies. Kobe makes them and I bake them.
We do have our dogs to keep us company and protect us. The curfew in Cuenca, Azuay, Ecuador (15 miles away) is from something like 7pm to 5 am. It used to begin at 9 pm. Errands are supposed to be done once a week. When we do run our errands, we wear masks. Our workers, Jaime Tamay (Maestro) and Alexander Parra (Alex) are also quarantined so they are not able to work for us for the time being.
I do weekly Podcasts titled Real Food Real People which can be heard on the Soundcloud website. Podcasts are fun for me. It is nice to talk to people about what they enjoy eating and what I enjoy eating.
This quarantine is making Randy even more creative. He is coming up with original songs about the Coronavirus and other current events. May this crisis end by mid-April, if not sooner.
