Riding It Out

Randy, Kobe (age 18), and I are quarantined and have been for almost two weeks.  Usually, I blog on Sundays but this past Sunday I did not have time to blog.  We enjoy our five-acre yard and walk in our yard almost daily.  Kobe is learning a lot on his own on his computer...especially about US Presidents.  His GED test near Denver, Colorado has been canceled because of the Coronavirus Crisis.  We are hoping he can take his GED in Osaka, Japan later this year.

I have been keeping in touch with family and friends on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Skype, and email.  Randy plays his online games just like Kobe but different online games.  What keeps me sane is dancing.  I created a Facebook group called, "Shake Your Booty!"  Join us!  I also like to doing Yoga online...even in Real-Time.  We have been eating as healthy as possible.

Curfew in all of Ecuador is from 2pm to 5am.  One adult per family (if they are under 65) can run errands:  shopping, pharmacy, doctor, hospital.  Only people who work at these places (including law enforcement) can go to work.  One person per vehicle including taxis.  Six feet away from others.  Wear a mask and gloves.  Get sprayed with disinfectant.  Use antibacterial soap.  So many rules.  First offense:  $100; Second offense:  1 month's salary; 3rd offense:  4 months in jail.  The two men who work for us cannot come to work at our house because they are not considered "essential" workers.  Let's see if the curfew is lifted before Easter Day (Sunday, April 12, 2020).

We are stocking up on food and supplies. Also, starting a garden with peas, radishes, etc.
I am still taking lots of pictures, creating Podcasts, and reading.  It will get better.  I assure you.
