Downtown (Part 1)
I had my Belly Dancing class in the morning. We will have a performance at the Sucre Theater in Downtown Cuenca on Saturday, February 28th at 8:00pm. I bought my skirt and of the top...an ordinary black bra. The Belly Dancing Instructor, Sussy, will sew gold sequins on to the bra. A woman in my class who is bilingual helped me find a place where bras are sold in Downtown Cuenca.
There was also the afternoon Spanish Meet Up which is free and occurs every Wednesday. The usual location is the restaurant in Downtown Cuenca, San Sebas. The event is free and ordering lunch is optional. Just join the Meet Up website for free and say that you'll be there so a seat can be saved for you.
After the Spanish Meet Up, I went to Carolina Bookstore in Cuenca and bought a Spanish-English dictionary. I also spoke to an Ecuadorian man who wanted to practice his English. It gave me a chance to practice my Spanish.
When I left the bookstore, I bought a snack at an Ecuadorian restaurant. It looks like a pancake but it's made from plantains. Tastes good and only 50¢. During my walk around Downtown Cuenca I bought fresh strawberries (one pound) and ate all of them as a snack. Afterwards, I went to another Ecuadorian restaurant about bought only chicken for 50¢. These restaurants have no name. After almost three months, my digestive system is acclimated enough to eat at these Almuerzos (traditional Ecuadorian restaurants).
Randy and Kobe met me at Spanish class in Downtown Cuenca at 4:00pm for their class. They had their Spanish class and I had my Spanish class afterwards. Georgina had to attend an event for writers so she wasn't able to attend Spanish class. Patricia is knowledgeable and fun.
While I was in Spanish class Randy and Kobe ate at Fabiano's where pizza is sold and had cheese pizza. Before this, they had bread at the Panadaria near Spanish class.
The weather was on the cool side when walking home from Spanish class. While we were walking home, Patricia attended a concert with friends. She and her friends saw Juan Fernando Velasco perform.
Another good day in Ecuador.
