Ricaurte, Azuay, Ecuador
Randy and I visited the community of Ricaurte just outside of Cuenca. We took bus #100.
It is mostly Ecuadorian. On the plaza, there is a beautiful white Roman Catholic church.
We looked around town and then ate at an Alumerzo, which is a traditional Ecuadorian restaurant.
Randy and I had the fried chicken. Our meals with drinks was $3.75. Very reasonable.
Carnaval has begun but it will REALLY begin on Monday, February 16th (President's Day-which is not celebrated in Ecuador).
After lunch, Randy and I too the #100 bus back to downtown Ecuador (El Centro).
As usual, Kobe relaxed at home.
A great way to spend Valentine's Day.
