El Valle Cuenca
On Monday, February 2, 2015, we visited our friend, Daniel "Danny" Rivera (26). He's a single guy with no kids who lives in a subdivision called Laguna del Sol. This subdivision is 30 minutes outside of Cuenca. Danny lives in a nice two story house with his sister, brother-in-law, and seven year old nephew.
His subdivision also has tienda (small stores) and a Taekwondo studio. Also, El Calle Cuenca which has a small zoo. There is a marsh with cows grazing nearby.
Danny took us hiking and there was lots of green grass and animals around. Breathtaking! Many of the neighbors were friendly and said hello to us.
The trip to Laguna del Sol was only 25 cents on the city bus.
Kobe didn't go with us. He decided to stay home.
The owner of our apartment is a very nice Landlord name José Solano Correa (Pepe). Pepe is 66, married, with children and grandchildren. He lives nearby in Cuenca. Our rent is $500 per month for a three bedroom two bathroom two story apartment on the fourth floor.
My personal opinion is since we love living in Ecuador becoming a citizen is Ecuador makes sense.
