Home, Parade, Restaurant, and Cemetery

When my Spanish class was over, Patricia Olivo (Pachi), with our landlord, José Solano-Corea (Pepe), took us to see a house he will have for rent within the next three months.  It was a nice house but we decided we did not want to rent the house.  It is not close to reliable public transportation and the kitchen was too small.  Our heads almost touched the ceiling of the kitchen.

After Belly Dancing rehearsal, I saw a parade with Boys Scouts and Girl Scouts.  It was nice seeing the scouts showing their pride in their troops.  The nice looking cars where a nice touch in the parade.  They were marching down a street in Downtown Cuenca (El Centro)-Simón Bolivar...a street where many parades occur.

I met Randy and Kobe at a Computer Store (Digital City) in Downtown Cuenca.  Kobe is waiting for the Solid State Drive (SSD) for his computer.  It's been almost a week at it hasn't arrived as of yet.  If his SSD doesn't arrive soon, we will no longer patronize Digital City.

While waiting for Randy and Kobe, I visited a bookstore that sells books in Spanish (especially school books).  I bought a book in Spanish for $4.00.  The bookstore is Circulo Americano Del Libro.

Kobe, Randy, and I went to a Cuban Restaurant for lunch, Bella Cuba.  Randy thought the food was OK.  Kobe didn't want the food and drank only water.  I thought the food was good.

After shopping at Supermaxi, we went home.  Shortly after going home, I went for a walk.  I decided to take the bus and got off the bus near the Cemetery (EMUCE EP-Cemeterio Patrimonial-Public Cemetery).

The Cemetery is large, peaceful, and beautiful.  So much to see and relaxing.  There is a very nice park near the Cemetery.  Across the street, fresh flowers, headstones, etc. for sale.

On the way home from the Cemetery, I walked down a traditional Ecuadorian street, Calle De Las Herrerias.  For 70¢, I had a pancake type dish (sweet) made with plantains.  It was delicious.

I enjoy walking because I see many interesting things which makes for great photos and videos.
