Carnaval Is Coming!
I went to Belly Dance class this morning. Rehearsing for an upcoming show at the end of this month. One Ecuadorian woman in the class, Maria de Lourdes Cedilla, 41, told me about Archery. It would be nice to participate in Archery with Ecuadorians, just like I do with Belly Dancing. Kobe likes Archery and may he participate, too.
After Belly Dancing, I had my usual bread at a nearby Panadaría and FAXed an important document to our Credit Union in Los Angeles, California so I may continue to withdraw money from ATMs.
I had chicken at an Ecuadorian restaurant. It's nice that I've been here long enough so my digestive system is acclimated enough to eat at a traditional Almuerzo. Also, had a Cheese Empanada at a traditional Almuerzo.
Crafting Club was at Fabiano's Pizza Restaurant. It was a nice gathering of women. I do Origami but I didn't do Origami at Fabiano's.
Spanish classes went well. Kobe and Randy had Spanish class before me. They are improving when it comes to speaking Spanish. I had Spanish class after them. Georgina Nunez wasn't feeling well and didn't make it to Spanish class.
Because of Carnaval, no Belly Dancing class and Spanish Class until Wednesday.
I also saw parades and got squirted with foam. So much fun!
Ecuadorians know how to celebrate! Carnaval will be in full swing beginning Saturday, February 14th (Valentine's Day-also celebrated in Ecuador) and will last until Tuesday.
We are prepared to get wet and covered with foam!
